Housekeeper Guide

As a housekeeper, LodgeBeam is your mobile workspace for managing shifts, completing tasks, and tracking your work.

Dashboard

Your dashboard shows three live panels:

  • Shift Status — Whether you are clocked in, on break, or off duty
  • My Tasks — Tasks assigned to you with status and priority
  • Available Work — Unassigned tasks in your section that you can claim

Shifts

Starting a Shift

  1. Tap Start Shift
  2. Select the section (floor, wing, or zone) you are covering
  3. Your shift begins and tasks become available

Taking a Break

  1. Tap Start Break during your shift
  2. Break time is tracked automatically
  3. Tap End Break to resume work

Ending a Shift

  1. Tap End Shift
  2. Any incomplete assigned tasks remain in the queue for the next shift

Working on Tasks

Claim a Task

From the available work queue, tap Claim to assign a task to yourself. Tasks can also be pre-assigned by a manager.

Complete a Task

  1. Tap Start on an assigned task to begin work
  2. When finished, tap Complete
  3. Add evidence: photos, videos, voice notes, or text notes
  4. Submit — the task is marked complete

Pause and Resume

  • Tap Pause to temporarily stop work on a task
  • Tap Resume to continue

Do Not Disturb

If a room has a Do Not Disturb status, you can Defer the task. It will re-appear in the queue after the configured delay window.

Adding Evidence

When completing a task, you can attach:

  • Photos — Take or upload images
  • Videos — Record or upload video
  • Voice Notes — Record audio notes
  • Text Notes — Type observations

You can also delete evidence you have added.

Other Work

Not everything fits a task. Use Other Work to log miscellaneous support activities:

  1. During a shift, tap Log Other Work
  2. Select a category (e.g., deep clean, linen run, guest request)
  3. Add an explanation and optional evidence
  4. Submit — time is tracked separately from task work

Reporting Issues

Maintenance Issues

While working on a task, you can report a maintenance issue. This automatically creates a maintenance task visible to managers.

Task Suggestions

Have a task idea? Submit a Task Suggestion from your dashboard. Managers can review and approve or reject it.

Lost & Found

Found something? Report it as a Lost & Found Item during task execution. Add evidence (photos, notes) and submit. Reception will manage the claim process.

Performance Reports

Access your Performance Report anytime to see:

  • Tasks completed vs. budgeted time
  • Your efficiency trends
  • Quality review scores
