Task Evidence
Evidence is how housekeepers document the work they've done. Every completed task can include evidence attachments.
Why Evidence Matters
- Proof of work — Shows that tasks were actually completed
- Quality support — Helps managers during quality reviews
- Issue documentation — Captures problems for maintenance follow-up
- Guest communication — Evidence can support guest inquiries
Evidence Types
Photos
Take photos during or after completing a task:
- Before/after shots of cleaned rooms
- Specific areas that required extra attention
- Damaged items or maintenance issues
Videos
Record short video walkthroughs to show the state of a room:
- Quick room tours after cleaning
- Demonstration of issues
- Verification of amenity placement
Voice Notes
Record audio notes for quick observations:
- Faster than typing for on-the-go housekeepers
- Useful for detailed descriptions
- Natural way to capture observations
Text Notes
Type detailed notes about the work performed:
- Specific cleaning actions taken
- Items restocked
- Guest requests handled
- Any issues encountered
Who Can Add Evidence
| Role | Can Add Evidence To |
|---|---|
| Housekeeper | Their own task completions, other work sessions, lost & found items, task suggestions |
| Manager | Quality reviews, quality review evidence |
Managing Evidence
- Add — Attach evidence during task completion
- Delete — Housekeepers can delete their own evidence
- View — Evidence is visible to managers, admins, and reviewers
Best Practices
- Take photos of any issues or damage immediately
- Use voice notes for longer explanations
- Be specific in text notes — reference room numbers and specific areas
- Quality over quantity — one clear photo is better than five blurry ones
