General
What browsers are supported?
LodgeBeam works on all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). The housekeeper interface is optimized for mobile use.
How do I change my password?
Go to your Account settings. You can update your password there. You will need your current password to set a new one.
How do I switch between properties?
Use the Property Switcher in the navigation bar. You will only see properties where you have an active membership.
Can I change the language?
Yes. Use the Language Switcher in the navigation bar to toggle between English and Czech.
I can't log in. What should I do?
Contact your manager or organization administrator to reset your credentials. If you're a manager, you can reset passwords from the People management page.
Housekeepers
How do I start my shift?
From your dashboard, tap Start Shift and select your section. Tasks in that section will appear in your available work queue.
What happens if I don't finish all my tasks?
Incomplete tasks remain in the queue. They will be available for the next shift to claim and complete.
Can I switch sections mid-shift?
Yes. You can move to a different section from your shift panel. Your available work queue updates to the new section.
How do I report a maintenance issue?
While working on a task, tap the Report Issue button. This creates a maintenance task visible to managers.
What is Other Work?
Other Work is how you log non-task activities like deep cleaning, linen runs, or guest requests. It keeps your time tracking accurate even when you're not doing standard tasks.
Managers
How do I add a new team member?
Go to People and tap Add Person. Enter their details and assign roles for each property they need access to.
How do quality reviews work?
After a task is completed, you can review it from the Quality Reviews page. Score 1-5, add feedback and evidence, and set the inspection gate to Pass or Fail. A Fail reopens the task for rework.
How do I set up trigger automation?
- Create Event Types for the events your property recognizes
- Create Trigger Rules that connect events to actions
- Create Trigger Actions that define what tasks to create
- Test by firing events manually
What's the difference between task rules and trigger rules?
- Task Rules are specific to occupancy events (check-out, stayover) and directly create tasks for specific task types
- Trigger Rules are more general — they work with any Event Type and can use timing delays and conditions
Reception
How do I check a guest in?
Find the stay on your dashboard and tap Check In. The bed state updates to occupied, and the stay moves to checked-in status.
How do I flag a room as priority?
From the occupancy board, tap the Flag Priority option on a room. It will appear highlighted in the housekeeper queue.
What happens when I check a guest out?
The bed state changes to vacant. If configured, housekeeping tasks are automatically generated for the room.
Troubleshooting
The dashboard isn't updating
Try refreshing the page. Dashboards use real-time updates, but a network interruption may require a manual refresh.
A task seems stuck
Contact your manager. They can review the task status and take action (reassign, cancel, or investigate).
PMS import failed
Check the import run details for specific error messages. Common causes:
- Unmapped room codes — add PMS Room Mappings
- File format issues — verify the file is valid ASSD format
- Duplicate data — check if the file was already imported
I see an error I don't understand
Capture a screenshot and contact your manager or support. Include what you were doing when the error appeared.
